AI Landscape Design

iPhone & Android

AI landscape design that leaves your house exactly where it is.

See your actual yard redesigned. Photograph it and get a photorealistic result in 18 landscape styles in about 10 seconds. Unlike a general image model, AI landscape design done this way holds your house, fence line and driveway in place instead of generating a different property. 3 free designs to start.

Gravel and dead grass to a Mediterranean courtyard. The stucco wall, the window and the roofline stay exactly where they were.

Any outdoor space

AI backyard design, front yards, pool surrounds and curb appeal.

Three more real properties. Every one starts from a single photograph, and in every one the house, the fence line and the neighbours are still where the camera found them.

Curb appeal

Weedy frontage to a flagstone path and layered borders. Roof, shutters and door untouched.

Pool area

A bare fenced yard planned out with the pool tool. Fence line and neighbouring rooflines preserved.

Front yard

Same house, same siding, same walkway, same garage door. The hydrangeas, lavender, boxwood, Japanese maple and path lighting are what changed.

How it works

How AI landscape design works: three steps, and none of them is drawing a plan.

1

Photograph your yard

One photo from where you actually stand. No drone, no measuring, no plan.

2

Pick a style and an area

18 styles across front yard, backyard, patio, pool surround, garden beds and curb.

3

Get it back in ~10 seconds

Full resolution. Generate again with a different style as many times as you want to compare.

The wedge

The part every other tool gets wrong.

The most repeated complaint about AI yard apps is not that the render is ugly. It is that the AI invents a pool, moves the house, flattens a slope, or deletes a forty-year-old oak — so the picture you get back is of somebody else’s property.

So here is the input photo next to the output, both in full, nothing hidden behind a sweep. Check it against the original: the sliding door, the stucco, the hip roof, the fence panels on both sides and the neighbours’ rooflines behind them are all still there. So is the concrete slab — it did not move, it got built on.

Redesigned — house untouched

What changed is the planting and the hardscape: the slab became a bluestone terrace with a fire table, hydrangeas and olive trees fill the beds along the fence, lavender edges the lawn, and string lights run back to the house. That is the whole edit.

Plants, named

A picture is not a plan. You also get the plant list.

The complaint that comes up again and again about AI yard tools is that the render looks good and then tells you nothing — you cannot buy “those purple ones” at a nursery. Every design comes back with its planting labelled.

Every plant named
The design comes back labelled. You get species, not a pretty picture you then have to describe to somebody at a nursery.
Matched to your climate band
Suggestions are filtered by where you actually are, so you are not handed a plant that will die in your first winter or cook in your first August.
Included, not an add-on
Two of the biggest apps in this category sell plant identification as a separate purchase on top of the subscription. Here it is part of the design.

Styles

18 landscape styles, named and shipping.

Not “100+”. Eighteen. Every one of them is in the app today, and each is tuned for outdoor material and planting rather than borrowed from an interior preset.

Tools

Eight tools. 3 of them are on the free tier.

The locked ones are marked here, on this page, before you install — rather than discovered after you have already uploaded a photo.

What we commit to

Three promises the rest of this category structurally cannot make.

Your first render is free, full resolution

See a real result before you are asked for money. Not a blurred preview, not a thumbnail. 3 free designs to start.

The limit is printed on the paywall

How many designs you get is stated in plain text before you buy, with a visible counter after. You will not discover a cap three weeks into an annual plan.

One price, no à-la-carte upsells

Plant names and the shopping list are included. They are not a separate $15 purchase on top of the subscription.

What it costs, next to everything else.

What it can’t do

This replaces the sketching stage. It does not replace the landscape architect.

It does not do drainage, grading, permits, soil testing, or site measurement. It will not tell you where the utility line runs or whether your slope needs a retaining wall. Those are the reasons a professional gets paid, and none of them are solved by an image.

What comes out is a concept image — the thing you show a contractor, a spouse, or an HOA board to say “this direction, not that one.” Used that way it saves a great deal of money. Sold as a finished design, it would be dishonest, and we are not going to do that.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is there an app that shows what my yard would look like?
Yes. Photograph your yard, pick one of 18 landscape styles, and get a photorealistic redesign of that same yard in about 10 seconds. It works from your real photo, so the result is your property — not a stock garden.
Can AI design my yard from a photo?
It can redesign one. The pipeline is image-to-image: your photo is the starting point, and the house, fence line, driveway and camera angle are held in place while the planting and hardscape change around them.
Does AI landscape design keep my actual house in the picture?
That is the specific thing this app is built to do. The most repeated complaint about AI yard tools is that they relocate the house, fill in the pool, or delete a 40-year-old oak. The generation prompt explicitly preserves house, fence, driveway and camera angle.
How much does a landscape design cost without an app?
A professional landscape design plan runs $2,200–$6,180 with an average around $4,576, or 5–15% of install cost (LawnStarter, 2026). Online design services run $197–$3,495 per yard. This is a subscription for unlimited exploration before you commit to any of that.
What can AI landscape design not do?
It does not do drainage, grading, permits, soil testing, or site measurement. It replaces the sketching and option-exploring stage, not the landscape architect and not the contractor. Treat the output as a concept image, which is what it is.
Is there a free AI landscape design app?
This one starts free — 3 designs, full resolution. Three of the eight tools are on the free tier; pool, garden beds, lighting, curb appeal and full makeover require a subscription, and that is stated here rather than discovered after install.
