Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes how Skyble Lab (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the AI Landscape Design mobile application (iOS and Android) and the website at landscapedesign.io (collectively, “the App” or “the Service”). By using the App, you consent to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

a. Account information. The App can be used without creating an account — first launch signs you in anonymously so you can generate a design without handing over anything. If you later sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the basic profile information that provider returns, which may include your name and email address.

b. Photographs of your property. The App requests access to your device’s camera or photo library so it can redesign the yard in your photo. Photos are never collected without your explicit action. Uploaded photos are processed by our AI systems and retained only as long as needed to provide the Service (see Section 3). We do not use your photos to train AI models, ours or anyone else’s. Please note that a photograph of your yard may also capture your house, your street, and your neighbours’ property; upload only images you are comfortable sharing.

c. Approximate location (optional). The App may ask for approximate location for one purpose: determining your climate band so plant suggestions are appropriate for what will actually survive where you live. This is optional, the App works without it, and you can decline or revoke it in your device settings at any time. We do not use location for advertising and we do not build a location history.

d. Purchase information. Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play and managed through Adapty, our subscription infrastructure provider. We never see or store your card number. We receive confirmation of payment, which plan you are on, and the transaction identifier needed to keep your subscription working across devices.

e. Device and usage data. We automatically collect technical information including device type, operating system version, App version, install and device identifiers, IP address, language, in-App activity (which screens you open, which tools you use, how long a generation took), crash logs, and performance metrics. This is how we find bugs and understand which features are worth building.

f. Cookies and similar technologies. On this website we use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality and aggregate analytics. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; essential cookies cannot be disabled.

g. Communications. If you email us or use in-App support, we retain your message and contact details so we can reply and improve our support.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide the Service. Process your photo and your chosen style to generate a design, tailor plant suggestions to your climate band, manage your subscription, and answer support requests.
• Improve the App. Understand how the App is used, develop features, fix defects, and monitor generation quality and speed.
• Communicate. Send transactional messages such as receipts and security notices, and — where permitted — occasional product updates you can unsubscribe from at any time by emailing hello@skyblelab.ai.
• Safety and security. Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Use.
• Legal compliance. Comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our agreements.
• Aggregated analytics. Produce aggregated or de-identified data that cannot be traced back to you, for research and Service improvement.

Legal bases (EU/EEA/UK users). We process personal information under one or more of: performance of a contract, legitimate interests in improving and securing the Service, your consent where required (including for location), and compliance with legal obligations.

3. Data Retention

• Photos you upload are deleted from our processing systems within 24 hours of submission.
• Designs the App generates are deleted from our systems within 30 days. You can save them to your own device at any point before that.
• Account information is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for tax, audit, and legal compliance.
• Aggregated and de-identified data may be kept indefinitely, as it cannot be linked back to you.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

a. Service providers. We use trusted third parties to operate the App: cloud hosting and storage (Vercel, Google Cloud, Firebase), AI inference (Runware and other compute providers), payment processing (Apple, Google), subscription management (Adapty), and analytics (Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel). They may process personal information only to perform the service we engage them for and are contractually bound to confidentiality and security obligations.

b. Legal compliance. We may disclose personal information where required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Skyble Lab, our users, or others. We will push back on overbroad requests where appropriate.

c. Business transfers. In a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, personal information may transfer to the acquiring entity. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own direct marketing.

5. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, secure authentication, and least-privilege access for our team. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users as required by law.

6. International Data Transfers

We operate primarily in the United States and our service providers may be located in the U.S. or elsewhere. If you use the App from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries whose data protection laws differ from your own. Where required — for example, transfers from the EU/EEA/UK to the U.S. — we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn we have, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact hello@skyblelab.ai. Users aged 13 to 17 may use the App only with parental consent.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

The App and website may link to or integrate with third-party services such as Apple and Google. This Policy does not cover them and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing them with information.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Everyone. You may at any time access the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete your account and associated personal information, download a copy in a portable format, and opt out of marketing messages. To do any of these, email hello@skyblelab.ai. We respond within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires it.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA). You have additional rights to: know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; access and receive a copy of it; request deletion; correct inaccurate information; opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do neither, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising); limit the use of sensitive personal information; and not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request.

EU/EEA, UK, and Swiss residents (GDPR / UK GDPR). You have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdrawal of consent where processing relies on it. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. No industry standard exists for how sites should respond, so we currently do not change our behavior in response. We will update this section if a standard is adopted.

11. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Policy. The current version is always posted here and in the App with its “Last updated” date. For material changes we will give reasonable notice — an in-App notification or an email — at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Policy.
